New Code 5 houses

O2i Design are currently working on a project to build two new houses to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 5 standard.

Sketches and computer models are used to show the design to the client, as well as being used as tools to develop a system of functions that make the houses very low impact on the environment, consume a very small amount of energy, and are themselves producing energy from solar and PV cells.

The orientation of the houses is crucial in taking advantage of solar gain while the model is used to develop shading that prevents over heating in the summer months.
