Planning Application Fees Increase: What does it means for your Project?

As of 1 April 2025, planning application fees in England have increased. This change affects anyone looking to extend, convert, or build on their property. At O2i Design Ltd, we handle applications as part of our architectural service. Whether you’re planning a home extension, barn conversion, or historic building renovation, it’s helpful to know how these new fees will impact your budget. The fee depends on the type and scale of your development. Key changes include:

Single householder applications (extensions, loft conversions, etc): Increased from £258 to £528. AND Two or more dwellings (subdivision or multiple units): Increased from £509 to £1,043.
