Refurbished Listed Public HouseDrayton, Somerset
There has been a coaching inn, at the heart of Drayton village since the early 19th Century. After falling into disrepair, the Drayton Crown has re-opened, following extensive works. Now welcoming locals and visitors again, this refurbished public house is at the heart of the community once more.
The new owners commissioned O2i Design Ltd to undertake this work. The project involved gaining planning permission, listed building consents and the statutory building regulations needed for the wide-ranging renovations. The pub has undergone an impressive overhaul both inside and out.
The bar has been opened to allow more space and light. A new state-of-the-art kitchen will cater to hungry patrons. There is a new extension which houses a skittle alley and function room and four large well-appointed double B&B rooms with en-suite facilities upstairs. The gardens were landscaped, and a children’s playground and onsite parking were added.
