Refurbishment of a Listed Public House
Drayton, SomersetThis Grade II listed Public House on the Somerset Levels has recently undergone an extensive overhaul. Our client asked o2i Design Ltd to design, gain statutory permissions, and manage this historic pub’s refurbishment. There has been a coaching inn at the heart of this Somerset village since the early 19th Century. After sitting empty for a while, the new owners reopened this public house in 2017. Take a look a the little video highlighting the refurb.
The project involved gaining planning permission, listed building consents and the statutory building regulations needed for the wide-ranging renovations. The pub has undergone an impressive overhaul both inside and out.
A new state-of-the-art kitchen caters to hungry patrons. A further extension houses a skittle alley and function room, and there are four spacious, well-appointed double B&B rooms with en-suite facilities upstairs. The external space incorporates a large parking area and a new child-friendly garden with a playground area.
