Research CentreMarseille, France
This Research Centre project involved detailed accommodation analysis and re-modelling the existing building for the plant support and catalyst development teams.
This centre is located on the coast of the Mediterranean crude oil trading basin, on a large refinery site in the south of France. An essential and complex refinery, with integrated petrochemicals, it can process a wide range of crudes and produce high-quality products. Scientists are continuously refining and developing techniques for using precious oil derivatives.
This research aims at improving ways to produce plastic-based products for utility pipelines. The redesign of the building included a structural and mechanical upgrade. This improvement was to ensure the facility was explosion resistant and provide a safe, flexible and stimulating working environment. Duncan Pyle worked closely with the French site teams to produce a co-ordinated strategy. With dlp.
