Research & Technology CentreMarseille, France
This Research & Technology Centre project involved detailed accommodation analysis and re-modelling of the existing building for the plant support and catalyst development teams on a large refinery site in the south of France.
The scientists were continuously refining and developing techniques for using precious oil derivatives. This research was aimed at improving ways to produce plastic-based products that we all rely on such as utility pipelines. The redesign of the building included a structural and mechanical upgrade in order to be explosion resistant while providing a safe, flexible and stimulating working environment. Duncan Pyle of O2i Design Ltd worked closely with the French site teams and local engineers to produce a co-ordinated strategy. With dlp.
