Refurbished Workshop

A refurbished workshop was transformed into a stunning creative space and yoga studio.

Our team designed the new space and obtained statutory approvals for a creative environment featuring large glass sliding doors across the front facade.

High-performance sliding doors maintain warmth in winter, fully thermally broken to retain heat and keep the space cosy. The five-panel system spans over 10m, sliding into pockets on either side for a fully open aperture. Traditional timber shutters slide across the front for security and privacy when not in use. Low carbon features include recycled materials and a reed bed water treatment system. This space was shortlisted for awards, including Finalist in the Sustain Awards 2012 (Biodiversity Category) and Winner of the Green Apple Awards 2012 (Architectural Heritage Category).

This project has been sold and O2i Design Ltd helped the new owners convert this yoga studio into a lovely single-storey home.
