Duncan Pyle – Director
BA (Hons), Dip GVAD
Duncan founded O2i Design in 2001 after building a successful career with leading architectural practices in London and Paris.
Over the past 25 years, he has helped hundreds of clients deliver projects ranging from bespoke homes and rural developments to complex commercial, industrial and research buildings. His work has been recognised in architectural publications and includes projects featured by English Heritage and in specialist design books.
Today, Duncan remains closely involved in every project, helping clients make informed decisions from the earliest design ideas through planning and construction. His experience enables him to balance creativity with practical considerations, finding solutions that respond to each client’s ambitions, budget and the unique character of every site.
Richard Bennett – Senior Architectural Technician
Richard joined O2i Design in 2014 and has become an integral part of the practice.
He develops the technical drawings and detailed information that transform design ideas into buildings ready for construction. His thorough understanding of Building Regulations, construction detailing and planning requirements helps projects progress smoothly from design through to completion.
Richard’s technical knowledge helps identify potential issues before work begins on site, giving clients and contractors confidence that every project has been carefully considered and fully coordinated.
Andrea Pyle – Design Consultant
PgCert Architecture: AEES
Andrea has worked with leading architectural practices in London, Paris and Chicago, contributing to major commercial developments as well as residential projects.
She combines an eye for detail with a passion for interiors, materials and the client experience. Andrea also guides clients through every stage of the design process, ensuring communication remains clear and every project receives the personal attention it deserves.
Her focus is simple: helping clients feel informed, supported and confident throughout what can often be an unfamiliar process.
Hendrix & Reginald – Office Companions
Every practice has its own personality.
Hendrix and Reginald, our two Jack Russells, are usually the first to welcome visitors to the office. While they leave the architecture to the team, they’re always happy to greet clients and help everyone feel at home.
What It’s Like to Work With Us
Every project follows a different journey, but our approach remains the same.
We’ve deliberately remained a small practice because we believe our clients value working directly with the people leading their project. You’ll always know who’s looking after your commission, and we’ll always know it in detail.
Many of our clients have never undertaken a building project before. Our role is to make the process straightforward, explaining each stage clearly, answering questions honestly and helping you make informed decisions with confidence.
Good architecture is about more than creating attractive buildings. It’s about understanding people, solving problems and delivering places that work well for years to come.
Let’s Start with a Conversation
Every successful project begins with a conversation.
Whether you’re planning a home extension, restoring a listed building, creating a commercial development or exploring opportunities to diversify a working farm, we’d be pleased to hear about your ideas.
We’ll help you understand the opportunities, explain the process and discuss the next steps before any design work begins.
If you’re thinking about a project, we’d love to hear from you.
