Architecture Student

Architecture Student 2018

Every year an architecture student joins us for a work placement.  We welcome our latest architecture student who joined us in June 2018 for a 3-month summer placement. A talented and enthusiastic Architectural student is gaining valuable work experience.

Every architect and designer has to start someplace and there is no better place than in a busy practice. This is where you can do a little of everything under the supervision of an experienced designer. Whether you are studying or wish to gain experience over the holidays, internships help launch relationships, initiate opportunities and valuable work experience.

It is invariably a pleasure to have students with us. What they lack in experience, they frequently make up with enthusiasm and energy. We love our collaborations with them. Students perceive things differently. They share our passion for sustainable architecture. It is refreshing to have a new pair of eyes on a scheme.

This year our student is a first-year student from the Department of Architecture, Design and Interiors from Falmouth University.

National LABC Building Excellence Awards 2017.

https://www.o2idesign.com/projects/somerset-film/O2i Design Ltd represent the South West in the National LABC Building Excellence Awards 2017. The National finals of LABC – Local Authority Building Control awards took place in London on Friday 11th November 2017.

The awards recognise fantastically made buildings from a technical and construction point of view.  The Awards look at the technical challenges that the construction and design teams face and the awards celebrate effective collaborative working to overcome the issues.

The O2i Design team were unable to attend but very proud that this exciting project represented the South West. It was a fantastic accolade to be the South West Regional Winner for the Best Public Service Building. You can read more about this interesting project here
